With the documents on this page we face the problem of designing a circuit capable of computing the angle having a given tangent value. The solution is explained in the report and its structure is given in the VHDL hardware description language. We use the CORDIC (COordinate Rotation DIgital Computer) algorithm to compute the desired result.

This design problem has been solved as final project for the electronic devices exam, part of the computer engineering master's degree program at University of Pisa.
